PULLED JACKFRUIT BURGER
Jackfruit scores highly in terms of flavour and texture as a meat substitute. They can be bought tinned or fresh, but cutting them up is time-consuming. The flesh, which takes on the flavour of spices, sauces and marinades particularly well, is an ideal substitute for pulled pork. The pieces of fruit are "plucked" with the fingers or divided into small pieces with a fork, marinated for at least 30 minutes together with diced onions and other flavourful ingredients and cooked for 10 to 15 minutes in the grill tray.
