Lounge chairs for the living room, garden and patio
Not every lounge chair is designed for every setting. A lounge chair for the living room should be designed primarily for seating comfort and the quality of the upholstery – weather resistance or UV protection are not a factor here. What matters more are soft cushions, a suitable cover and a frame that harmonises with the rest of the furniture.

Frames made from powder-coated aluminium, stainless steel or high-quality poly rattan are ideal here, as these materials withstand moisture, sunlight and temperature fluctuations well. Even though modern Outdoor fabrics are very robust, you should store the cushions in a dry place during prolonged periods of rain and cover them with protective covers if necessary.
A garden lounge chair combines both: high levels of comfort and weather resistance. Care instructions to ensure you enjoy your lounge chair for years to come
To ensure you can enjoy your armchair for many years to come, it’s worth taking a look at a few simple care tips. For fabric upholstery, regular vacuuming removes dust and fine particles that would otherwise become embedded in the fabric. You should treat stains as soon as possible, as dried-on liquids often penetrate deeper into the fibres. For most woven fabrics, lukewarm, clear water is sufficient; for stubborn stains, a specialised upholstery cleaner is recommended, which should be tested on an inconspicuous area first.
Leather upholstery benefits from being treated with special leather balms every six to twelve months. These keep the material supple and prevent the surface from drying out. Direct sunlight can alter the colour of leather over the years, so it is best to position the chair away from large windows. Outdoor-Lounge chairs should be cleaned occasionally to remove pollen, dust and algae residues – a soft sponge and mild soapy water are usually sufficient.
