PLANCHA - BARBECUE ENJOYMENT IN SPANISH
The term "plancha" is derived from Spanish and literally means "plate" or "surface " - and this is exactly what characterises the barbecue experience with a plancha. The food is prepared on a solid, flat grill plate made of steel, cast iron or stainless steel , which is placed directly over a heat source such as gas or charcoal. Unlike a conventional grid grill, the heat from a plancha grill is distributed evenly over the entire grilling surface. This not only enables very precise temperature control, but also a wide range of cooking options.
