Introducing: Hoptimist
The Hoptimists by Gustav Ehrenreich are cheerful and optimistic figures that spread joy with their infectious smiles and positive expressions. These charming creations were developed at the end of the 1960s to be a source of joy and optimism in turbulent times.
The Hoptimist is the epitome of smiles, optimism and good humour
Before the Hoptimists were created, the Danish wood turner Hans Gustav Ehrenreich worked in his workshop in Stilling.
In the late 1960s, Ehrenreich created the first prototypes for Birdie, Bimble and Bumble.
Ehrenreich and his Hoptimists soon became so popular that the small workshop could no longer keep up with production. The rest of this story is now a piece of Danish design history.
